For Staten Island drivers looking at a $3 hike in cash tolls to cross the Verrazano (or a $1.32 hike for locals with E-ZPass), the sight of other motorists getting a free pass into Manhattan must be a source of perpetual gall and resentment.

You Heard It Here First: Cyclists Ticketed for Using New Willy-B Lanes
When we posted pics of the new Williamsburg Bridge bike lanes last Friday, Streetsblog commenters wondered if, since one of the lanes directs cyclists onto a sidewalk, police might be lying in wait. Brooklyn Bridge to Be Closed to Cyclists for Bike Traffic Calming
The Brooklyn Bridge will be closed to cyclists this Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for what DOT describes as measures to calm bike traffic on the promenade.
