Traffic Relief Rally at City Hall This Morning
Councilmember Gale Brewer joined Transportation Alternatives and representatives of community groups from all over the city at this morning's Citywide Coalition for Traffic Relief rally on the steps of City Hall. The Coalition currently includes 129 community organizations.

Councilmember Gale Brewer joined Transportation Alternatives and representatives of community groups from all over the city at this morning’s Citywide Coalition for Traffic Relief rally on the steps of City Hall. The Coalition currently includes 129 community organizations.
These organizations have signed on to a petition calling on the Bloomberg Administration to devlop “a comprehensive traffic relief plan to reduce citywide traffic volumes by 15% by the year 2009” by implementing the following five measures:
- Wider and more protected rights-of-way for transit, walking and bicycling
- Parking Reform
- Traffic Calming
- Reduce Truck Impacts
- Congestion Pricing
